Forget the stresses, head to the beach

If you’re desperate to get some down time, we’ve popped together a few ways to combat the stresses and strains of modern life and have a better work/life balance: 

  1. Have a break from the modern world and in the evenings and at weekends, forget your work emails, back away from the social media and from those endless information overloads. It’s time to say ‘no’ to the tech and switch off and enjoy spending time with your family and friends. You can escape from it all if you book a break with us and you can even have a digital detox!
  2. Get some fresh air – spend time in the great outdoors either walking in the park or somewhere more rugged, or doing some gardening. If you come to us, then you’re just a few minutes walk from our wonderful Blue Flag beach and, also, the superb South West Coast Path. Plus, we’re a short car drive from lots of cycle ways, so there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about here.
  3. Read – pick up a good book, a proper paperback that smells papery and feels great to the touch. The light from laptop and tablet screens can be harsh on the eyes at bedtime and the blue light is known to make it difficult for us all to switch off at the end of the day.
  4. Sleep well – have an uncluttered bedroom, cut out the caffeine and resist using your laptop or tablet at bedtime. Here, when you snuggle down to get a good night’s sleep, you can drop off listening to the sound of the waves as they hit the shore and the tide goes slowly in and out. Bliss!
